About the Farm

If you’re looking to develop your horseback riding skills in a multi-disciplined, family-friendly environment, with a top riding coach who is also a very respected horse trainer and equine massage expert, you’ve come to the right place.

Aspen Acres is located in Port Colborne, Ontario and is convenient to most areas in the Niagara Region.

The facility consists of an indoor riding arena, heated observation area, fourteen large horse stalls between two barns, an outdoor sand ring, outdoor dressage ring and cross country course, ample space for parking, many turnout pastures and paddocks of various sizes, and riding trails, all on a beautiful 50 acre property.

Aspen Acres is currently host to 10 horses, and a number of other farm-yard friends. The farm offers a variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities of horse to match most every rider. Each of our horses has a distinct personality, and are suitable for a variety of levels of rider.

All horses have their own properly fitted and regularly assessed and adjusted english and western tack setups, as well as boots and other equipment as necessary.

Meet Your Instructor

Stacey McQuire is a successful multi-discipline coach, rider and horse trainer. With over 25 years full-time in the equestrian field, Stacey has encountered all kinds of challenges that horse owners can experience with their horse, and has taught many students of varying abilities and interests.

Stacey’s coaching style gets results. Her years of experience has allowed her to help both the rider and horse build confidence as a team and improve their own skill sets together. With a formal education in Psychology & Child Youth Worker and combined with many years of her own riding experience, she’s able to apply a unique perspective to both children and adults across many riding disciplines.

Stacey is someone with an unwavering commitment, a keen eye helping both people & horses understand each other. Additionally, she also has her own accomplished show career. Stacey started showing ponies seemingly as soon as she could walk. Her clear focus and commitment over the years allowed her the opportunity to groom with Grand Prix riders in Europe as a teen. Stacey has achieved many wins on the competitive “A” circuit as a result of her unwavering dedication to her goals. Despite a crazy busy schedule, she has continued competing on the show circuit and is supportive of including her students in the process.

Stacey has developed her own unique set of horse training skills, which set her apart from many other horse trainers in the industry. Clients hire Stacey to start countless young horses correctly from the beginning by not only utilizing her years of experience, but also allowing her to connect with the young horses from the onset. Stacey has been able to apply these same principles to help older horses with existing behavioral issues enabling them a second chance at life. Stacey’s training style has allowed her to break hundreds of horses in open fields with no round pens. Stacey’s proven skills can work for you too.
